Our classes will get you speaking quickly. The method focuses on learning easy, simple patterns of structured Thai language. We then reinforce it with intensive Thai conversation practice. You will be practicing conversation with your classmates from the first day of class. By the following week, we’ll be talking about future plans and what we did the night before. The course tuition includes the book and matching E-Learning on Google Classroom. If you’re looking to learn Thai in Chiang Mai quickly, this is the course for you.

At We Learn Together Language School (or in the formal name, “We Learn Thai Chiang Mai School”), we look at a combination of things when it comes to hiring. Education, experience, personality, and if they’re going to fit in with the team and are willing to work hard. Our energetic, helpful, and linguistically-competent teachers have little interest in abiding by traditional rote-learning, and neither should you. No matter where you’re from or what native language you speak, our dynamic method of teaching will get you speaking like how Thais do every day. There is more to teaching than just opening a book in front of a class, repeating vocabulary, and holding up flash cards. We teach conversation here at WLT.

We don’t just teach Thai here. We always put a little bit of Thai culture while we teach to make you understand more about Thai people. “Our Fun, Energetic, Qualified Teachers Ensure Your Success” We hold regular training sessions. We train with our special techniques for teaching and continually strive for improvement. Teachers are required to present to their co-workers and also required to give feedback. Students who enroll at We Learn Thai Chiang Mai are enrolled for the same purpose as you, which is to learn Thai. We have maximum group sizes which are followed to ensure the success of our students. Our classrooms are large, air-conditioned, and comfortable. Different classrooms for different subjects. Conversation classes are arranged in a semi-circle fashion which is ideal for our methods of teaching conversation. The reading and writing classes are spacious and comfortable so you have plenty of room to practice. You won’t be rubbing elbows with the person next to you.

Our Curriculum

A. Intensive Pace: Speak Thai in 15 Days Level 1-2 (Intensive) 45 Hours Each Level

This class meets 3 hours, Monday to Friday, for 3 weeks. Our method focuses on learning easy simple patterns of structured Thai language. We then reinforce it with intensive Thai conversation practice and follow that up with E-Learning on Google Classroom that Includes several videos so you can practice pronunciation and improve your ability to differentiate tones. You will be practicing conversation with your classmates from the first day of class. By the following week, we’ll be talking about future plans and what we did the night before. The course tuition includes the book and matching E-Learning. If you’re looking to learn Thai in Chiang Mai quickly, this is the course for you.

B. Relaxed Pace: Long-Term Learning

What’s a Module?
Each module is 30 hours of coursework. The class meets 2 hours a day 4 days a week. This is your typical 4-week class.

1. Beginner: Speak Thai in 4 Weeks Level 1,2,3

There are 3 conversation modules utilizing phonetics to get you speaking quickly. This course utilizes the same material and methods as our Speak Thai in 15 Days class, but at a more relaxed pace. Each day you will spend a fair share of the time practicing conversation and pronunciation with fellow classmates. After conversation practice, we present some new material that incorporates some simple and easy-to-learn patterns. We then put that newly-learned material to use and practice some more. In this course, repetition is key. Students should come energized and ready to practice speaking. Our classrooms are arranged in a horseshoe fashion, which is effective for conversation practice. The books are matching/accompanying E-Learning on Google Classroom.

Speak Thai in 4 Weeks courses are broken down into 3 levels instead of 2.

2. Elementary:

If you want to read signs, to know what’s on the menu, to feel independent living in Thailand, this is the course for you.

In this course you can learn how to read, write, say everything correctly, and communicate more effectively.

3. Intermediate:

At this stage, we get students at various levels. We have 10 modules, 30 hours each. With our material, we can accommodate students with a wide range of strengths and weaknesses. Fun and easy-to-follow lessons. At this stage we want to focus on weaning you off the phonetics 100%.

3.1 Pre-Intermediate

These modules are to review everything the students have learned and prepare themselves to be able to communicate better. The books are not in order, so they can go to any books we open in each month.

A. Pink Book: Review conversation practice, improve speaking skills, expand vocabulary, and try to write the most they can in Thai, simple patterns, grammar.

B. Orange Book: Speak, read, and write the most they can in Thai, review simple patterns, grammas, how to use questions, answers more understanding Thai culture.

C. Green Book: Review reading and writing like all the rules, read short stories

D. Yellow Book: Read signs, hard vocabulary, practice with games and exercise.

3.2 Low-Intermediate

There are 2 parts in this module. We use Speak Like a Thai book. In this book, we focus on conversation that Thais use in real life. Learn more slang, conversational language, and teen talk.

A. Speak Like a Thai, Parts 1-2

3.3 Intermediate

This course is for gaining more confidence in speaking and listening to Thai language. Expand your vocabulary. Learn more about Thai culture. Learn to read a variety of written documents in Thai language with ease. Learn to write messages on limited topics in Thai language script. There are 4 books in this module, which are in no particular order:

2. Orange

3. Green

4. Yellow

3.4 Upper-Intermediate

There are 2 parts in this module. The lessons are based on authentic reading, the sort that students will encounter in daily life in Thailand, ranging from basic informational texts such as menus, time tables, newspaper advertisements, and the like, to more complex texts such as news articles, editorials, and short narratives.

1. This includes the Thai reading project 1, parts 1-2, 30 hours in each part, totaling 60 hours.

4. Advanced

4.1 Pre-Advanced

There are 2 parts in this module, based on the reading project, which is primarily about Thai culture, history, Thai society, and the religions of Thailand.

1. This includes the Thai reading project 2, parts 1-2, 30 hours in each part, totaling 60 hours.

4.2 Advanced

There are 6 parts in this module. We will give students news articles from Thai newspapers, TV, or the internet, that cover various topics such as politics,

economics, science, cinema, technology, etc.

Each of these articles is accompanied by a minimum of 10 questions to check their reading comprehension, as well as asking and expressing opinions in class.

Each part is 2 hours a day, 4 days a week, for 30 hours, totaling 180 hours.
